HOW YOU CAN HELP

The mission of ARISE! International, Inc is to provide emotional support and recovery services to survivors who have made the choice to heal both emotionally and spiritually from the devastating effects of sexual trauma. We offer faith based support groups that are safe, encouraging and supportive in order to begin the process of healing.

Our support groups are offered in the Spring and Fall semesters. Based on the demand we will facilitate up to three support groups per week, per semester with a maximum of eight clients per group.

1) FUNDRAISING

We host two fundraising events: Runway of Hope Fashion Fundraiser and Dancing for Charity Gala to help promote our mission and assist in reaching financial goals. Our 3rd Party Fundraising can be hosted by an individual, group or organization at anytime to help support our cause. FUNDRAISE NOW!

Runway of Hope "CHANGING COMMUNITIES - ONE SURVIVOR AT A TIME" is an inspiring event intended to entertain and educate the community through fun, fashion and empowerment. Includes fashion, entertainment, vendors, light refreshments and door prizes. This event is held in April as a way to highlight sexual assault awareness month (SAAM) which is nationally recognized in April.

Dancing for Charity Gala "A GLAMOROUS EVENING CELEBRATING HOPE, TRANSFORMATION AND RESTORATION" this event is our signature event which is traditionally held in August. A fun filled night of entertainment, dining, inspiring speakers, client testimonials and social dancing.

Host A Benefit

Would you or your organization like to help in our mission in supporting survivors of sexual violence in recovery?

Give the gift of recovery by hosting a dinner, bake sale, roller skating, 5K Marathon, Zumbathon, golf tournament, etc, the possibilities are endless!

Events can be hosted by an individual, business or organization at any time to support our mission through our 3rd Party Events. Events help raise awareness in the community of our organization and the needed funds to continue our mission. Interested parties must complete our 3rd Party Event Form prior to the event.

In order to preserve the integrity of ARISE! International, Inc name and establish expectations for every involved party, we must approve all events in advance. Together, we will discuss your plan and provide guidance for a successful event!

2) DONATIONS

We do not provide housing for clients therefore we do not accept clothing and furniture items. We provide support and recovery services and as a way to continue to offer these services we accept general donations online via PayPal or a check can be mailed to our office.

1) Office Supply Gift Cards

Donations of supplies are always needed to make sure our administrative offices operate efficiently. Gift cards in any amount from Office Depot, Staples, Office Max help with purchases of office items (i.e., paper, printer ink, flip charts, etc).

2) Sponsor A Survivor Scholarship Program

We offer fee based support groups at $300.00 per semester. You can sponsor a survivor who need assistance in this area. In addition new participants are required to purchase a workbook at a one time fee of $30.00. This partial scholarship is awarded in the amount of $150.00 with the remaining balance to be paid by the client. 3) In-Kind Donations

ARISE! International, Inc has many needs for products and/or services to help improve our clients emotional state and quality of life via community. We have many needs for products and/or services to assist clients in rebuilding trust and experiencing safety in healthy relationships.

3) VOLUNTEER "Life's most urgent question is: What are you doing for others?" MLK, Jr

Volunteering is the backbone of our organization. We need volunteers to help us carry out our mission.

NOTE: All individuals interested in volunteering with our organization must fill out our Volunteer Application and Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement. Applicants are subject to a criminal history background check.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Public Relations - Promote our mission and raise awareness of our organization in the community.
Social Media - Innovate and create media content across social media platforms (facebook, twitter & LinkedIn).
Grant Writer - A virtual opportunity to locate and write grants to obtain funding to support our mission.
Media - Assistance is needed in helping with audio/visual equipment at community events.
