Jocelyn J. Willis

Guest Speaker

Jocelyn is the CEO. and founder of Sisters with Stories Inc. Jocelyn is a three-time author, and youth motivational speaker. She has worked as an early childhood educator and is making a massive imprint in the lives of the youth of today. Jocelyn encourages students to believe in their dreams despite their origin. Jocelyn is dedicated towards witnessing children evolve into the best version of themselves.

Jocelyn's childhood certainly wasn't picture perfect. It isn't something that she likes to relive, as growing up for her had its fair share of hard knocks. She was raised in a single parent home by her mother and older brother. She resided in Fort Worth, Texas for a short time until moving to Pittsburg, California. While in Texas, she experienced some of life's struggles. Well, that may be a bit of an understatement. Jocelyn was left home alone with her mother's boyfriend and before long became the victim of a reoccurring crime of child abuse. As a young person she later turned to drinking and she struggled through her academics. She was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress and depression. She decided to transform her pain into purpose.

From that point on, her life has been transformed in such a miraculous way. Jocelyn reached out to help others. Jocelyn did so, courageously! She wanted to be the light in someone else's darkness. She launched her non-profit Sisters with Stories Inc. She began speaking to young people and women, about her redemptive story in the Dallas Fort-Worth and the Bay Area community. She's graced numerous stages sharing her voice to impact and usher today's youth towards greatness. She is passionate about making a difference through, speaking her message of overcoming life's difficulties. The youth has always come first in her heart. Jocelyn plans to continue her efforts of encouraging each child to win in life and become Resiliently Vocal!
